Alex Lindsay Alex Lindsay - Chief Architect
Alex has been involved in computer graphics for nearly 20 years. He has extensive experience in digital production including print, real-time graphics, multimedia titles, forensic animation, television, and film. He spent several years on the production of Star Wars: Episode 1 (at JAK Films and then at Industrial Light and Magic). Alex has taught at the Academy of Art and at the San Francisco State Multimedia Studies Programs. He writes for 3D Magazine, 3D World, and Post and is a regular guest on TechTV.
Chris Marler Chris Marler - Director of Educational Operations
Before joining dvGarage in 2002, Christopher Marler was Director of Technology Programs for San Francisco State University’s College of Extended Learning. He is the former director of SFSU’s Multimedia Studies Program. He has spoken frequently at universities and conferences, most recently in Singapore at the APEC Symposium on Collaborative Strategies for Multimedia and World Wide Web Production Skills Development. Chris has a B.A. degree in English from Grinnell College.
Alutha Jamancar Alutha Jamancar - Knowledge Engineer
Involved in computer graphics for over 10 years, Alutha Jamancar has augmented his technical training with a variety of organizational and production training specializing in Skill Bank building and distribution. He is a co-founder of the video user group, MacFilmmakers, in Cupertino.
Maina Mucoki Maina Mucoki, Pixel Corps Regional Director, Africa
Prior to joining dvGarage and the Pixel Corps, Maina Mucoki worked as a graphic artist and freelance designer in both print and web in the Sf bay area. Maina is currently establishing new Pixel Corps centers; first in Dar es salaam, in Tanzania in July 2003, and later in Nairobi, Kenya and then the greater East African region in 2004-6. He is actively involved in fostering computer graphics knowledge transfer, especially to the East African region.
